In anticipation of the release of its new web3 game Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles, Ubisoft held a free NFT launch for fans late last year, utilizing WalletConnect’s Web3Modal SDK to ensure scalable and seamless wallet connection for the digital collection launch. The public mint made headlines as the NFTs were snapped up within minutes, generating millions in subsequent secondary sales. The game is set to launch in early 2024 on Oasys, an EVM-compatible chain designed to support blockchain gaming experiences. 

As part of the Champions Tactics Wardlords collection launch, Ubisoft turned to WalletConnect’s Web3Modal SDK to ensure accessibility to the mint for fans around the world, who plugged in from Asia (39%), the Americas (26%), Europe (25%), and other regions.

Thanks to Web3Modal, fans were able to seamlessly connect to the Champions Tactics mint with their preferred wallet provider, resulting in almost 10,000 pixelated profile picture-style NFTs being claimed in less than 20 minutes.
