TRON only went live on WalletConnect Network in early 2026, and it has already moved hundreds of millions in Total Network Volume (TNV). In the first half of 2026 alone, WalletConnect powered $213.1M in TNV through TRON, connecting users to 1,221 active apps across 185 countries over 73,385 transactions.
Monthly volume nearly quadrupled in six months, climbing from $19.35M in January to $72.71M in June. This is a 276% increase. TRON’s active user base on the WalletConnect Network nearly doubled from 4,531 to 8,714 users, and the average transaction carried $2,903 in value. That’s considerable activity for an integration that was just six months old.
Similarly, wallets such as Trust continue to make TRON available for connection via WalletConnect, with 30,703 users and 117,847 transactions in H1 2026.
Month-over-month growth on TRON shows a clear trend. TNV opened the year at $19.35M in January, dipped to $12.91M in February, then surged 136% in March to $30.46M and kept climbing to $41.65M in April. May cooled slightly to $35.99M before June delivered the biggest climb, a 102% jump to $72.71M. This is around 34% of the entire H1 total.
The available user data shows strong growth in TRON activity, with June standing out due to high volume.
More TRON users than ever before, growing consistently

TRON user growth accelerated through H1, as monthly active wallet users nearly doubled from 4,531 in January to 8,714 in June (+92%), with the sharpest jump in May (+33% MoM). Approximately 78–84% of active wallets each month were new to TRON, and that share increased over H1.
Bridges carry value
When we looked at the breakdown of how $213.1M moved, cross-chain bridges came out on top by a wide margin.
Cross-chain / bridge activity moved $139.6M, or 65.5% of all TNV. Native DeFi (DEX, lending, RWA) sits in between: $57.6M in TNV, which is 27% of the total.

The Top Apps Driving Money Movement
Numerous apps account for movement on TRON. Stargate and Sun.io (SunSwap) alone moved $97.81M of TNV through TRON on WalletConnect.
Stargate leads on raw value ($59.41M) with a lean footprint and a high average value moved per transfer. It’s an app, which has high-value transfers, with a small number of participants moving serious capital across chains.
Sun.io (SunSwap) tells the opposite story. It moves $38.40M across 5,083 transactions. It’s TRON's trading app, where ordinary activity routes by default.

USDT is the Stablecoin of Choice
TRON's token composition leaves little ambiguity about the network’s use. USDT accounts for $208.89M of token volume, which is 98% of everything moved. At 22,933 transactions, USDT accounted for roughly a third of the WalletConnect-attributed TRON transactions in H1 2026.
TRX, which is TRON’s native utility token, carries a healthy transaction count (8,456) - consistent with its role in transaction fees, network resources, staking, governance, and broader utility rather than primarily as a stablecoin settlement asset.

TRON, at least through the WalletConnect Network, is functioning first and foremost as a USD settlement layer.
One Wallet, Many Users
Trust Wallet accounts for 30,703 wallet-attributed users in the H1 2026 dataset, which is 96.1% of total users.

The Connectivity Network Powering TRON's Growth
Put the three perspectives together – transaction category, apps, and wallets – and a similar pattern repeats itself. A small, high-value core (bridges as a category and Stargate as an app) sits alongside a much wider base of everyday activity, such as usage on the app Sun.io. Together they add up to $213.1M in TNV, moved through 1,221 apps, in 185 countries.
All of this has been powered by WalletConnect, the leading global connectivity network for wallets, banks, fintechs, financial institutions, and DeFi. One platform enables secure, compliant money movement with any asset on any chain, providing a single access point to 900M end users - including TRON's.
